High waters affect highways, Fort Leavenworth airfield

Flooding closed at least one highway Wednesday and reached an Army airfield in Leavenworth. Missouri 45 in Platte County was closed Wednesday morning between U.S. 59 and Route H in Weston because of high water. The route serves as the main access to the Iatan power plant.
