Ed Haider, 89, of Roseville was a prisoner of the Germans at Capua, Italy, in World War II. He was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. One Sunday a priest from Rome said Mass for the prisoners. The priest from Rome said, 'Would any of you fellows like a rosary blessed by the pope?'' All the arms shot up, including the arms of the German guards.
