Small explosion, fire at Mt. Vernon factory

MOUNT VERNON — Firefighters responded to a blaze about 8:55 a.m. Sunday at 160 S. Terrace Ave. Fire Capt. Edward Stevenson said several people live in two second-floor apartments above the warehouse, where components for the U.S. Navy are made.
